Rebecca Bone is a movement artist primarily focused in the art of improvisation. During the past few years she has been developing a body of solo improvisational work individually and in collaboration with various musicians. Her work has been presented by the IF ONLY Festival (Ireland), the Moving Moveable Feast (London), DUMBO Dance Festival (New York City), Philly Fringe Festival, Sierra Arts Foundation and the RISD Museum in collaboration with Shura Baryshnikov. In April 2015, she was a collaborator in an hour-long Contact Improvisation performance as part of Thinking the Earth, a symposium on climate change and sustainability hosted by Brown University. Formerly based out of New York City, Rebecca performed and collaborated with Antititled Dialogues, Nu Dance Theater, Topaz Arts and Becca Alaly Dancers among others. Rebecca has a great love of Contact Improvisation, which she has practiced for over 10 years and is endlessly curious about. She also enjoys traveling, especially by bicycle, slacklining, dancing on the beach and growing food.
